My Licensing Journey: Insights and Feedback on Submitting my Portfolio

Hey, friends! It's been a while since my last update on my licensing journey. I've submitted my portfolio to three companies so far and while I haven't heard back from two of them, I did get a response from the third. Although it was a rejection, it was still valuable feedback.

The company was kind enough to let me know that they won't be taking on any new designers for the next two to three years and their design team is currently full. While it's not what I hoped for, I appreciate the transparency and I will keep this information in mind.

As a new designer in the licensing world, it can be challenging to get your foot in the door. The submission process can feel daunting, and the waiting game can be frustrating. But I'm not giving up just yet! I will continue to pitch my portfolio and take any feedback I receive as an opportunity to grow and improve.

If you're also on a licensing journey, don't get discouraged if you don't hear back right away. It's important to keep in mind that these things take time, and rejection is just a part of the process. Keep honing your skills, and don't be afraid to put yourself out there (this is definitely still something that I am working on!)!

I'll keep you guys posted on any updates, so stay tuned!

Remember, perseverance is key in the licensing world. Keep pushing forward, and success will come your way. We've got this!
